Yesterday, I met with @_AfricanUnion representation and shared updates on the tremendous efforts of the AU to support Member States in the fight against #COVID19, under the strong leadership of Chairperson @AUC_MoussaFaki and great coordination of AU Chair H.E. @CyrilRamaphosa.
We have just finished building the capacity of Member States on invasive alien plants species risks assessment and management as well as the use of biological control agents for crop protection.
4Today, we were delighted to host @AfricaCDC Director Dr. John N. Nkengasong to our offices in Yaounde, Cameroon.

At the just-ended workshop on IPM Strategies & Migratory/Cross-Border Pest Management, that we organized, African Member States have resolved to scale up integrated and sustainable crop production as one way of facilitating implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
