AU-IAPSC celebrates international women’s day

On International women’s Day that falls on March 8 every year, we joined the Cameroonian government and the rest of the world, in celebrating the role of women in our society.

As we provide leadership in the management of plant health in Africa, we are proud of our women across the continent, as they contribute 60 to 80 percent to food production for both household consumption and sale; hence they also play a major part in agricultural activities.

Cameroon celebrated their 35th edition of the day, under the theme; “promoting gender and protecting women’s rights by 2020: taking stock of actions undertaken, setting a new course.”
