AU-IAPSC joins the Go Green Campaign to promote Youth
Ahead of the #InternationalYouthDay (IYD) on Saturday August 12, we joined the #WeGoGreen campaign to promote “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.
African Union Inter-African Phytosanitary Council (AU-IAPSC) staff in Yaoundé-Cameroon understood the assignment and donned GREEN today, to stand in solidarity with the global #IYD celebrations but also showcase our collective dedication to supporting environmentally-conscious practices and nurturing a sustainable world for generations to come.
The campaign underscores the importance of equipping Africa’s youth with skills that foster a sustainable future.
For AU-IAPSC, the campaign further resonates with our mandate of coordinating and providing support to the protection of plant resources for the welfare and economic development in the Member States of the African Union.
We cannot talk of good plant health management without a sustainable environment, which is significantly nurtured by the young generation.
Through #AUYouthProgram, the #GoGreen Campaign is organized by African Union Commission’s Directorate of Women, Gender and Youth, in collaboration with the Department of Sustainable Environment and Blue Economy.
