Invited to participate in the regional multi-stakeholder workshop organized from 21 to 24 October 2019 in Praia, Cape Verde by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Inter-African Phytosanitary Council was represented by Our Senior Scientific Officer (Phytopathology) Ms LUIZA MUNYUA.

The Workshop recorded the participation of 25 African countries and representations from numerous African, European, North American and South American regional organizations. Therefore, it was not only a question of focusing on the innovations developed for small farmers with a view to the sustainable management of the fall armyworm in Africa but also of making an inventory of the measures put in place to sensitize and strengthen the alert and surveillance system for integrated pest management in Africa.
